Ready to Ride the SAVA Gelaro GRX610?
FAQs
The SAVA Gelaro S6 GRX610 is a professional gravel bike, primarily designed for Class 1-3 gravel road conditions (loose gravel roads, rural dirt roads, and lightly potholed unpaved roads). It can also easily handle paved roads and urban greenways, fulfilling the dual needs of "all-scenario commuting + light adventure."
Compared to road bikes, it features a more relaxed frame geometry, wider tire clearance, and shock-resistant wheelsets, resulting in greater stability and comfort on gravel roads. This avoids the bumpy ride and damage risks associated with narrow tires and aggressive geometry common in road bikes. Compared to mountain bikes, it retains the lightweight advantages and high-speed rolling resistance of road bikes, without the range burden of a heavy mountain bike frame, making it more suitable for long-distance riding on mixed terrain.
The frame has ample tire clearance and comes standard with 700c×40mm clincher tires, but can support tires up to 700c×45mm in size, to meet the upgrade needs of different road conditions.
This bicycle currently uses clincher tires, not tubeless tires. If tubeless compatibility is required, the wheelset must be replaced with one that is compatible with tubeless tires.
Tire pressure needs to be adjusted flexibly according to body weight and road conditions. The core principle is "lower pressure for increased grip on gravel roads, higher pressure for reduced rolling resistance on highways." The reference ranges are as follows:
① Body weight 50-65kg: 35-40 PSI on gravel roads, 45-50 PSI on highways;
② Body weight 65-80kg: 40-45 PSI on gravel roads, 50-55 PSI on highways;
③ Body weight over 80kg: 45-50 PSI on gravel roads, 55-60 PSI on highways.
It is recommended to equip yourself with a precise tire pressure gauge and check the tire pressure before each ride. (If tubeless tires are slowly leaking air, check if the valve core is loose or if there are small punctures in the tire. Small punctures can be repaired yourself using tubeless tire sealant.)
This bike features a carbon fiber frame, combining lightweight design with rigidity, supporting long-distance riding and capable of carrying 10-15kg of luggage, fully meeting the needs of multi-day gravel road adventures.
Frame maintenance recommendations: ① Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight (carbon fiber frames need to be kept away from high temperatures to prevent resin aging); ② Clean the frame and cable connections after riding (mud and sand accumulation will corrode the frame); ③ Avoid direct impacts to hard objects (if cracks appear in the carbon fiber frame, stop using it immediately); ④ When not riding for extended periods, hang it up (to prevent tire deformation under weight) and apply anti-rust oil to protect metal parts.
