AK105 オーロラのデザインは、R08 モデル「オーロラ」からインスピレーションを得て、色のグラデーションでオーロラのエッセンスを表現しています。ベースは上から下にかけて 4 色に変化し、宇宙、空、オーロラ、地球を象徴しています。

制作工程を詳しく説明すると、まず空の青を吹き付け、次に地球と宇宙を表す濃い青、最後にオーロラを表す緑を吹き付けます。工程は比較的簡単ですが、吹き付け技術の精度が求められます。さらに、空と宇宙を表す色のゾーン内には、星を表す半透明のインクの点があります。この技法では、薄めた白い塗料（半透明にしたもの）をフレームにブラシで塗り付けます。
